So today we are hoping to start a new chapter in little Laniers 7 weeks here. The colic thing has been insane... all day long... have tried all the comforting techniques and its not getting any better. Which, I know they say they just have to grow out of it, however, each feeding was a struggle these past two weeks. She was almost inconsolable after her feeding/wake time. Anywho... so we were gonna try her on formula to see if that made her feel any better. Well she showed us !! She would not even take the bottle, which mind you she has had pumped milk in before. Needless to say, last night was miserable, trying to get her to take the formula and her wailing so much that she actually went hoarse and vomited everything we managed to get down her. Took her over to our wonderful Pediaticians house so she could see how she was feeding. She took about an ounce of formula and began thrashing...as she had at the bottle before. REFLUX.. she said, yep totally looks like reflux. The funny thing is she never acted uncomfortable nursing on me. So here we are today hoping that Prevacid is gonna do the trick. Keep your fingers crossed. I have no more tears left inside... somehow she does.
