my grandmother

were still here I PROMISE !!! i have sooo much to blog about and should just write and not bother with the pictures but thats hard for me to do. So here is our wordy update as I try to get a new computer ASAP.  We have a wonderful laptop but my desktop is old and need of an UPDATE ( I mean we need a NEW one). Since getting my new computer, I can hardly even upload pictures.  So since I last updated, Marrin has turned 5 months, Lanier has turned the BIG TWO !!! We went to gibsons donuts for breakfast and Newks for dinner.  Her birthday party is this weekend at The little gym and as I was super excited for it... not that I am still not excited, but as I write this my grandmother is undergoing a quadruple bypass.  She is 85 and has recently (5 weeks ago) undergone a huge abdominal surgery, getting out of the hospital on the 19th of this month to return the 22nd to have a cardiac cath yesterday and now to this bypass today.  So my heart is aching, as I wish I could be in Chicago with her and my family, but that is just not possible at this moment.  Its hard to keep my mind busy, but I know that she has everyone surrounding her and that she is such a strong woman and will be laughing and up on her feet before we know it.  My mom flew up yesterday when we heard the news and I am so GLAD she got there last night to see her.  Please keep my grandmother (the strongest 85 year old woman I know) in your prayers.

gram at christmas time meeting Marrin for the first time :)

darn computer...

So here is my story folks and I am stickin' to it. My darn computer is not holding as many, and by as many I mean, hardly ANY, pictures when I upload. So I am being forced to upload and put them shutterfly immediately.  A good thing I am probably overlooking is that they are being uploaded to an outside source at an incredibly fast pace. I usually wait till I am WAY behind to do that. The other part of this darn situation is that I don't really have the pics on my computer for easy access anymore. So maybe I'll just have to start saving up for a new computer :). So as I am typing, pictures are being sent to shutterfly and another memory card is gearing up to be uploaded.  I mean... I guess I could stop taking a gazillion but that's not even an option.  I swear my children will never be able to go through all the pictures I take of them, but I love knowing that their lives have been documented and are there for their viewing.
So here are some of the last 2 weeks and our trip to Chicago for Jon and Ashleigh's baby shower :).

With windows on 2 of 4 of their huge walls in their family/kitchen, leads to some amazing NATURAL light .

spring sun is callin' our name

well lets just say that is was 73 degrees here last Friday and the girls and I spent the day OUTSIDE !! (side note it was like 42 here on Saturday... short lived, I guess).
First we went up to work, seeing as Marrin is 4 months and I had yet to bring her up there to show her off.  Everyone enjoyed our little bundle and Lanier was super shy for some reason... giving her death stare to everyone. From work we decided to head down to Harbor Town and have a picnic.
enjoying some "baaanna" and the MIGHTY Mississippi all while ROCKING her adorable pants I got off etsy. Sorry to disappoint, I did not make these. But I plan to whip up some
love the bridge in the background
and Marrin slept through the whole picnic
 a better side of Memphis
 always concerned for her sissy

 just taking it ALL in
then we headed to get Daddy some of his favorite, Fino's.  It's an Italian deli and the sandwiches are to die for. My girls and I used to eat there every week in College ( our own sex and the City lunch dates if you will).  I miss it so much. Then we (I) decided on the way home we should just stop by the Zoo. It's so nice just to be able to swing in for an hour and 1/2 or so.
too many cute ones of her in those pants not to post
before these pictures at home, I will confess I dropped by Jerry Sno Cone and grabbed me a delicious treat. Wedding cake supreme ( sno cone with soft serve ice cream mixed in ). here's a pic from my phone :)  BE JEALOUS !!! its AMAZING !!! Then home we went for nap time.

Ive got to upload more pics but my computer keeps messing up so I first have to upload a ton of pics to shutterfly, so bear with me !! LONG DAY but SOO fun hanging with my GIRLS :)
