First flight, Florida and FANTASTIC wedding...makes for a long week

This pictures sums up the entire week. We are all exhausted from our week in Florida. I was so nice to get out of Memphis !! Lanier had all kinds of first this past week. She did AMAZING !! ohh and how could I forget !!! I had to edit this post in order to put this in !!! Lanier (her small head and all) finally rolled over for the first time on July 13th. She was in her pack and play and trying to get to sleep when she rolled her head over and then decided to fling those legs over. She looked at me when she was on her back and gave me the biggest smile !!!!

I wish I had some pictures of the wedding itself but I had a sleeping baby in my arms the whole time so...sorry yall are just gonna have to wait. The wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!! Everything was perfect down to the little tiny faces of jon and ash on the M&Ms. They had a photo booth at the reception, which was sooooo cool and such a hit. The reception room and tables were beautiful with ashleighs yellow and gray theme and their names on the dance floor. We danced the night away to a local band and munched on some great seafood !!!

Sorry some of the pictures are out of order and I'm way to tired to care, just wanted to show off miss little Lanier, whom I might add weighs in at 13 pounds now. I had Tim take her into Dr. Cat the day before we left, she had been a little fussy and would scream everything i tried to lay her down... so i thought maybe we should have her ears checked before we got on a plane. Last thing i wanted to deal with was an ear infection but turned out to be nothing... I did work 5 out of 6 days prior to our trip and it could have been a little separation anxiety or just her reflux acting up so we are on mylanta now too.

Ok, so Lanier had an entire wardrobe of Floridian outfits (crabs, fish, boats and such) i went a little crazy but you can resist some of the stuff...its just to darn cute !!

Trying to get a good picture... I have been really bad and have yet to get any pictures of my child on paper. I am hoping that they print better than they are showing up on the computer. My next great purchase is going to be a nice nice camera. A Nikon or Cannon Rebel. Still doing my research. I'm super excited about it and ready for some awesome pictures of my little squirt.

A day in the life of Lanier. I wonder what is going on in that head of hers

So we are about to embark on our first trip with Lanier. We are headed to St. Pete Beach to my brother and Ashleighs wedding. We are sooooo excited. A bit nervous about the flight but its only an hour and 45 min. It can't be that bad. I will be sure to post when we get back.

Tummy...Lazy time

Now were back at it. OK so Lanier sleeps on her belly... not my choice but during her colic days that was the only way she would sleep... so she has tummy time quite often and has really good head control not to mention a nicely shaped head still. She has yet to roll over, which at this point I am thankful for. I just keep thinking that at night when she is going to sleep that she is gonna roll herself over and wake up because she can't turn back over . She is right on the verge and I am thinking its gonna happen any day now. Take a look at them cheeks and goofy eyebrows !!!

Here we are in our GAME DAY outfit courtesy of Aunt Amelia, which mind you everyone keeps telling me that she would look much better in Tiger Blue. I think so too, it would match much better with her eyes but she has to be a TENNESSEE fan in order to stay apart of the Treadwell Clan. Yes, we love our picture time on her chair in her nursery. To tell you the truth that is about the only time we use it so now I'm kinda glad that I didn't get a rocker. I do think it will get used more often when I start reading her books before bedtime, which it might add, I probably should be doing soon. Never to early to start.

A busy day shopping with mom and we finally crashed after a bit of sobbing. I think its hard for a tummy sleeper to know that all she has to do is close her eyes when she gets tired. I have tried to explain to her that the crying cause I'm sleepy thing is just a waste of time...

What a chunk she has become and she has found her voice... she is cooing and talking up a storm... it's sooo freakin cute
So my aunt and uncle along with my cousins got her this adorable adirondack chair with umbrella and we just had to have a photo session so they could see her in it since they live all the way in chicago. I swear she has on a girl outfit, there are all kinds of ruffles in the back. I did however, take off the enourmous ribbions that were on the shoulders and legs. I have no idea why an outfit would need ribbons larger than the child !!

So by now she had had her bath and bottle and was ready to hit the hay

Just another hot day in memphis... off from work... hanging with little one and my mom. We are gearing up for our big venture to florida in about 2 weeks !!

So part of our routine when mommy isn't working is to get up and eat and then Lanier gets to chill with mommy and daddy before she takes her morning nap. Notice her sleeves rolled. She has taken to sucking her fingers instead of a pacifer when she sleeps... which is GREAT, I might add !!!

My mom and her reading glasses she had on so she could operate the video camera of Lanier's first dip in the swimming pool. I think it actually took us longer to get her ready then she was actually in the pool. It was fun. She seemed to like it but I'm thinking she will like it much better later on this summer when it is a tad bit warmer.

Is she not the cutiest thing EVER !!!Here she is in her adorable bathing suit. It kinda looks like she has a bowtie on. There will be more pictures in her suit to come. My Aunt and Uncle along with my cousins got her an adirondack chair with a yellow
polk-a-dot umbrella and a mermaid towel. Dad had to put it all together so when I get back over there I'll have to have a photo session. Lanier also has a pair of kickin shades I'll have to put on her

As if my mom and I didn't think that a dip in the pool was enough for the day, we though we would walk across the street to our neighbors house and see if she liked the swing. Lets just say that we will have to wait till she is a bit bigger to enjoy this. She did like it though, just too small.

Lanier is LOVING her exersaucer. She oushes herself up and loves to look at the suns that are on either side. hopefully soon she won't be such a bobble head and then she will get to enjoy all the other toys too !!!

back to work :(

So it was back to work this week. Sad but it was fine. We are very fortunate that Lanier is being watched by my mom and mother-in-law. Luckily I only work 3 days a week and get to be with other peoples babies... Ohh and I forgot to mention in my last post that Lanier weighed 10lbs 7 oz and was 22 3/4 in long which were both in the 50th percentile. Ha Ha she doubled her birth weight @ 2 months !!

Our first family dinner out at one of the weekly cookouts out on the patio @ Germantown. It was a beautiful night and we had a great time with friends and meeting some new members !! Yes, I know she was 10 weeks and 4 days old. We had never attempted anything like this since she cried all the time.. however, the last two weekends we have been out all weekend long at parties and get togethers with friends ! Its WONDERFUL to get to show her off and to not have a screaming child on my hands

June 1st...This is the day of my moms final surgery for her reconstruction !!!! We can hopefully put an end to that chapter in our lives, we still have a couple years yet to ensure that she is cancer free. It was a bittersweet day at the Centella's. Lanier was more pooped out than my mom. Jon just LOVES our little girl to pieces !!!
